About the Role

Paramedics perform public safety work involving the protection of life and property by responding to emergency incidents, using Emergency Medical Services (EMS) skills, that include, but are not limited to providing Advanced Life Support, engaging in public education, hazardous materials and technical rescue operations including station and equipment activities. This class is responsible for performing related duties as required.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications Required. Must possess a valid Indiana Driver’s License. The paramedic will understand and have a working knowledge of the current protocols, and be able to pass a protocol test.
Paramedic must have a minimum of the State of IN licensure of Paramedic, ACLS, and PALS. National Registry Paramedic license preferred.
The candidate must complete 6 audit and reviews a year, either by attendance, video, or Division Chief Presentation of material presented by the Medical Director.
